The Engagement

A long weekend traveling to NYC turned into the best weekend of my life within a few short moments. Max and I were having a blast being tourists in the city that never sleeps, but little did I know what he had planned!

While touring Central Park in a pedi-cab, we came across the Bow Bridge; a bridge famous for being the most romantic bridge in New York which has been featured in many romantic blockbusters over the years.

I was so overwhelmed by the beauty around me that I didn’t realize that Max’s palms were sweaty or that his heart was racing. To me, everything seemed normal until one moment changed my life forever.

(excuse me while I get misty eyed YET AGAIN)

So, there I am, standing with my amazing boyfriend taking in the lake and gorgeous bridge when he says to me,

“I brought you here to tell you how much I love you, but I also wanted to show you. Amalia Delgado, will you marry me?”

IT’S OKAY IF YOU’RE CRYING, ‘CAUSE I AM.

Holy cow, I never expected this in a million years. We’ve talked about getting married for a while, but I was caught completely off guard! It was the most perfect moment I could’ve ever asked for. I wouldn’t trade the time, place, or him for anything in the whole world.

I still can’t believe this really happened! It feels so surreal, like I’m in a dream and I don’t want to wake up!!!

Our awesome pedi-cab driver took these amazing photos AND shot a video of it as well! Check it out here. Don’t mind my loud crying, everything is a blur…

I’d like to thank EVERY single person for the well wishes. I am so incredibly touched by all of the congratulations we’ve received!!! Be on the look out for when we tie the knot in 2019!

To my sweet Max, thank you for being everything I need, want, and look for in a partner. I wouldn’t give up our adventures, arguments, laughing fits, or Netflix binges for anything. You’re my person, and I love you a lottle.
